the truth is: you

falsely you blv/ it's everything you do that makes you his good woman
that she/ got n the way of all your hard work
that she was so busy erasing your lines before they had time to dry
that you never had a chance
but it was never about the thing you did
or who she is/ or what she had
it's you
maybe you simply don't do "it"
whatever "it" was for him
it was never about you being his "good" woman
b/c maybe she thought she was a "good" woman
& did all she could to show him how "good" she was
and along came you
flip side
maybe she also wondered why she wasn't good enough/ to hold him
to hold his attention long enough from you
to have him focus on her
maybe he's ADD
deficient in attententive ways to focus on anyone
but himself/ on his stress/ on his life
maybe it pays
to be a little ADD too
to not be as open to fall into his open door
to not be as eager to answer on the first, third or fourth ring
to be so busy
he needs you
has to decide where it's best to pay his attention.
and don't take it personal if it's not you
b/c maybe he/she's not taking it personal either
be too busy
trying to make yourself happy
be too happy
to worry
stop fighting the powers that don't be
start living
start being you
and be okay
with the end results
knowing you put your best foot forward
and were you completely
truthfully
you
