Ra Supreme's Poem- LONESOME AND LONELY AIN'T THE SAME
i recall the beginning
when i couldn't get enough of you
spent days that turned into days and then the next night with you
learned things.. perhaps i shouldn't know so soon
but i needed to be so full of you
that when i spoke about something else..
i spoke of you
needed to be so full of you
that when i was working
i couldn't think straight cuz i was surrounded by thoughts of you
i needed those nights and those days and those twilight hours too
couldnt get enough of you
and got scared
cuz.. my last relationship
was one of extreme opposites
i was extremely in love
and then extremely hurt
and i never wanted to experience that again..
so we met
when we were broken
and unsure
and unsteady
and we built our foundation
on trust and truth and good ass communication
and we were really cautious
and patient and aware that
we were two hurt people
with gaping holes in our heart spaces
and a need that could not be replaced with pain
we you and i we... knew..
what the time was
and we took it slow
and we knew what the deal was
and we took that too
and we knew each others thoughts
before they came out
and we knew what the next step was
before we even stepped out...
we..
love
unconventionally
cuz nothing is normal when it comes to me and you
not the time
not the day
not the sex
not the same
we..
built this thing on friendship and openness and
truth
something that was way overdue
something we were needing... at this time..
