rainbow bright

sometimes you don't realize what you've had until it's gone. Last night at work, finishing up we had the CRAZIEST convo about the littles, the snorks, the smurfs, shirtails, gummy bears , the jetsons, saturday morning cartoons and all the best saturday things ever.. and i missed being a kid.

I'd trade in one weekend for a reverse trip back to 1985. A bowl of corn pops or honeynut cheerios and a glass of juice on the couch in my mom's living room.

lets not get into all the psychological adult bs in the cartoons. Don't steal my moment. Just realize.. being a kid in the 80's was the shit! Soultrain was something you watched for moves and to see your favorite artist and was something you looked forward to. It was also was the sign that cartoons were going off and SATURDAY AFTERNOON KUNG FU FLICKs were coming on. channel 5 yo.. and if mommy was being cool we could go down to the corner store and get a hero and a soda and some chips and lay out on tne floor mimicking the characters whose lips didn't match the words. everybody was kung fu fighting.. sing with me!

i'd be rainbow bright in a minute of the gloomies didn't come to steal my sunshine.
