Sorry G, WS, and others i apologize.. for not keeping you updated.. but i've been focused at work :) and focused after work.. and i know this is no excuse but it happens.. on the good foot. Massage Therapy school is going VERY well.. i just placed my order for my table yesterday.. that's exciting. I finally decided on an Oakworks table good stuff. Expensive stuff. i hope i get my money's worth out of it.
Though i can see i will. I gave a friend a back massage after class yesterday.. it wasn't even the full massage sequence and dude was laid out.. crazy stuff. but it means im doing my job well.. so i can appreciate some drooling and eye rolling and even the occassional moan.. it means im good :) and it was good until he suggested i start giving head on the side.. and i had to yell at him and tell him that goes against all kinds of ethical standpoints. MINE and those of the National Certification Board... Besides im not paying 4K to be a professional whore.. good lord.
besides that.. being in the later 20s has some interesting effects on how your viewpoints change. Like i thought i'd be somewhere else by now.. but it's not really depressing that im not there yet.. Weddings also have a way of reinforcing your dreams and goals and have nots.. Except till we got to the vows.. and i can't agree with pledging a liftetime of servitude.. There are some things growing up a strict jamaican family or at least with one strict jamaican parent that expel all kinds of feelings of servitude.. I was a maid for the first 18 years of my life.. i am NOT pledging servitude to anyone.. I HATE washing dishes.. but will gladly load the dishwasher.. I believe love and relationships are partnerships.. so maybe im screwed maybe im liberated.. but i know now why im not married.. besides that wasn't in my plans anyway..lol.. at least not yet..
But as it stands..i went to a wonderful wedding on saturday.. my friend was just BEAUTIFUL... and everyone was so happy.. i like happy. it's contagious.. but then i had to re-evaluate my own me-ness.. and while i think one day.. i'd want to get married.. i KNOW..
i will not be using traditional vows.. i probably wont get married in a church. the idea of eloping in vegas quietly sounds great to me.. my mom once had the idea of me getting married in the poetry spot and having the wedding open mic style.. i think i like that.. :) i am unconventional at best.. and while the idea of marriage doesn't scare me.. servitude does.. i want a lifelong friendship/partnership.. and he hasn't come along yet..so i know why im not married..
But on to the greatest hoaxes of life..
1) " the great GAS crises" is anyone noticing how gas prices are creeping back up to $2.00. The first time this happened people were up in arms ( i like this phrase) over the gas debachle (i also like this word) but now.. no one is saying a damn thing.. I best bush would do great if he lowered the gas prices to 50cents the week before the election. HELL i still wouldn't vote for him.. but it'd be funny to see.
2) The Great FLU scarcity
Now this one is funny as hell to me.. I like how all of sudden people need to get the flu vaccine, but then oops.. we don't have any.. so people are spending weeks parked outside pharmacies and grocery stores only to find out there are no flu shots available.. people have grandmothers and babies camped outside the local Walgreens waiting in Vain... CRAZY SHIT ! and then the thing is.. your not even guaranteed not to get the flu if you do get the shot.. I think i've gotten the flu shot once in my entire life and that was when i was in college in Georgia nonetheless.. the flu really is running rampant in middle georgia.. it's still like summer time in november lol.
but yet and still.. the government once again has us in a panick over STUPID SHIT! it's amazing to me how we fall like lemmings to their preying on us..
and this is my first political post since my Gay billboard protesting.. which i must say.. has disappeared.. THANK GOD! im not gay but gay friendly.. and that think irked the mess out of me..

I've got another you should add to the list. Tomato shortages. Since when has there ever been a shortage of tomatoes? i don't even eat the damn things, but when i heard that fast food restaurants are going to forego tomatoes on orders and that olive garden is going to give customers 1-2 less tomato wedges in their salad bowls, i realized....we have a problem! it goes right along with gas prices and flu shortages. just my little view of strange happenings pre-election times.
